Squid Game Arena: the cult series comes to the festival
With the Squid Game Arena, Netflix brought the fascination of its globally successful series directly to the Southside Festival, just in time for the launch of the final season. Based on the iconic games, visitors were able to experience classics such as egg and spoon races, musical chairs and sack races in the unique ‘Squid Game’ look and feel – exciting, fun, immersive and, of course, risk-free. Prizes and an exclusive winners' lounge with snacks and drinks made participation even more attractive. The result: several thousand spectators, over 2,500 active players, more than 400 winners and an exceptionally high return rate. The activation created an attention-grabbing touchpoint that effectively connected the brand, the series and the festival community.
