Drawing attention to socially relevant topics

Festivals are places of connection, where people come together to share special moments. Time and again, we see that our guests are open-minded and eager to be inspired. We have been harnessing this spirit for many years by offering NGOs a platform to inform festivalgoers about socially relevant topics.

To create an even stronger impact at our German festivals, we introduced the Impact Village in 2024 – a dedicated space where various NGOs and initiatives set up information stands and organize interactive activities. Here, guests can engage in meaningful conversations, discover new perspectives, and find ways to contribute to important causes.

Beyond providing space for NGOs, we also foster close collaborations with organizations such as Viva con Agua and War Child. Since 2008, Viva con Agua has been collecting deposit cups at our festivals and concerts to support their clean water initiatives. Additionally, through our check-ins, we generate donations that directly benefit Viva con Agua and War Child, helping to make a tangible difference.

Since 2016, Hanseatic Help has been collecting sleeping bags, sleeping mats, and tents on the camping grounds at Hurricane, refurbishing them, and distributing them to people in need.
Since 2024, deposit bottles and cans are being collected in cooperation with Hanesatic Help at Hurricane Festival and Pfand gehört daneben (Every Bottle Helps) at Southside Festival and Highfield Festival.

The proceeds support various projects that assist people experiencing homelessness.
